Comparing Energy Savings - Energy Efficient Lighting
Linear fluorescent light fixtures replace 458 Watt Metal Halide and high pressure sodium lighting one-for-one. Linear fluorescent lights can be switched on using occupancy sensors. Most warehouses have areas that are not occupied all of the time, however since HID high bays are not instant on, the fixtures have to be powered all the time.T5 and T8 High bay fluorescents on the other hand can be powered on, only when someone enters the area. Replacing HID fixtures with occupancy switched linear fluorescent lighting results in additional cost and energy savings.
